Fall Hard, Fuck Harder
About the guy behind the queer epics, kinky serials, and spicy shorts. Your homo homie: Josiah B Vale. And where to start.
Hi! Iβm Josiah B Vale.
I grew up devouring fantasy and romance stories that lit my imagination on fire. You know the ones: Twilight, The Hunger Games, Narnia, The Lord of the Rings. I ate that shit up, but it always left me wanting.
I wanted dragons and gods and rebellions, sure, but I also wanted queer love at the center of it all. I wanted sweeping epics and shameless romances where we got to be the heroes, the lovers, the ones changing the world, and sometimes the one the toxic guy cannot stop obsessing over.
So I started writing the stories I craved. Starring gay men.
In my content you will find three flavors of chaos:
π The Novel (working in the background)
A big queer sci-fantasy epic that made me get serious about becoming an author. I am quietly chasing a deal for it. I will not put the name out there yet, but it is the story closest to my chest. Think polished, sweeping, a mainstream-crossover debut. The one I am building toward while I experiment here. ;)
π₯ Epic Serialized Fantasies (Divinity Binds and more)
If the novel is written for shelves, these are written for snuggling with your iPad under the covers. Still lush and cosmic, but hotter, freer, and more daring. They unfold here first, arc by arc, with the possibility of being released in full volumes later.
π Erotic Serials and Spicy Shorts
My playground. Contemporary kink-driven serials like Roommate Bonding Time or The Locker Room, plus quickie shorts of all kinds. Sometimes they are just porn (and we love that). Sometimes they turn into surprisingly emotional explorations of queer intimacy and kink.
My characters fall hard and fuck harder, but always with real emotion underneath. Think ACOTAR or Fourth Wing if they were unapologetically gay, kinky, and written by your homo homie.
If youβre new, where should you start?
Roommate Bonding Time is a reader favorite. Fun fact: I have never actually tried shibari. It all started with a random tweet of a straight guy saying his bros let him practice on them. It spiraled into a fantasy in my brain, and the detail ended up feeling as deep as writing high fantasy.
Divinity Binds is my ongoing romantasy. As of writing this, the first three chapters are out. It started as an idea for a choose-your-own-adventure experiment on a long drive. (Which I still want to try one day.) But when I got home, I could not stop drafting outlines, and now you have this version. Chapters usually release weekly, and one day I may group them into a book. For now, you get it here first, and you get to be part of shaping it with me.
Either way, it is all part of the larger project: writing across tones and formats to sharpen my craft and figure out what resonates.
I am just a gay with a degree in musical theatre (for some reason) trying to be a writer, chasing the kinds of stories I always wanted, and sharing the process along the way. I am not here to be lofty. I want to make you feel something. Maybe squirm. Maybe blush. Maybe laugh at how horny it gets. Maybe get gut-punched by how deep it goes.
If that sparks something in you, maybe hit subscribe.
XO,
Josiah
Introducing my Tip Jar. More tips = more time I can spend writing instead of driving for Uber. Simple math! So if youβre feeling supportive, feel free to tip. Never required for my content, but any little bit always helps.
